Default Moving from Full to 6 max

It seems since Party started offering TONS of 6 max tables at 15/30 the Full rings aren't as fishy.

1) Anyone else get this same impression?

So I'm thinking this is the time to bite the bullet, both to improve as a player and get the BB / 100 (hopefully) back to the good old days of Empire and Rakebacks. Sigh.

2) Any advice for how adjustments for going to 6-max?
- Books?
- General Strategys
- etc.

I understand reading this forum will help as well. Just looking for an simple overview. (For example someone posted a hand in the other forum and mentioned JTs is a raising hand UTG in 6 max, I did not know that.)

Maybe VPIP's? So I could use PS to get the 'ranges'?

Thanks for any help.

You don't need to improve as a player to play 6 max

Most people here play around 24-32 vpip and 20 pfr, and 35-40 WTSD. The vpip depends mostly on what you feel comfortable with in folding your bb to steal. I play a bit snugger than some here and my FBBTS is around 55. Personally my FBBTS is high because I feel playing marginal hands there saps my concentration from other tables for debateably little EV. But YMMV.

Read the shorthanded section in Hold em Poker for Advanced Players. And just play ALOT of hands to get the feel for it.
