SNGPT too tight??
Dont u guys think that SNGPT is a lttle bit to tight during the boubble. Example: Emagine u are playing a 26$ turbo at stars. Your stack on big blind is 2000. Blinds are at 200/400 with 25 in ante. So after you post blind and ante u have 1575 left. Your hand is KQs. The player UTG has 1700 and pushes (wich he need to do with any 2). In my wiew thats a clear call if its folded to me. If i put that in SNGPT its a fold thoug.... Comments??

Re: SNGPT too tight??
Uh, it depends on his pushing range, obviously.

Re: SNGPT too tight??
SNGPT isn't tight or loose. It is a calculator where you have to enter tightness/looseness.
So if your guestion is: Do I estimate my opponents calling/pushing ranges too tightly when using SNGPT? My answer is: Maybe, I don't know. |

Re: SNGPT too tight??
For KQs to be a call in that situation u have to set the pusher on maniac for it to be a call in SNGPT... i think its a call what ever the pusher is with 1700 chips...

Re: SNGPT too tight??
This depends a lot on what the other two stacks are.
If they are roughly even, I'm seeing a call against someone pushing any 2 as a ~+5% call. |

Re: SNGPT too tight??
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking..
what you said sounded something like.."huh?..chip no equal dollar..me no understand.. " you are right that you are ahead of his pushing range..but that doesn't mean that you should call..there are other factors to consider..short stacks, big stacks, mid stacks...anyway..just because you are most likely to win a hand, it doesn't mean it's the right play... the bubble causes many weird situations..there are times when you fold great hands like AQo or TT..you'll eventually get the hang of it... at this point in you rpoker career, it's probably best to let the computer do the thinking for you. |

[/ QUOTE ] do you have any math to back this up or is this just a thought of yours? and do you understand the math behind SNGPT? if you have a better method of modeling equity, i'm sure the forum is all ears. |
