I'll throw Nas in there too, but Nas isn't consistent enough IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think Nas just does music for himself. I don't think he really cares anymore if people are gonna feel it or not cause he definately is feeling his music. I think Nas just looks at record sales as a bonus to making music in the first place.

okay...

"I'm a playa" I like for the fact I can dance to it, but most other rappers would've went harder on that beat.

LMAO went harder on a song called "I'm a playa." Dude you are a joke of a fan. No one could do that track any better than Tech and it's not even his main style of song.

I'd rip the track for people to hear but it skips on my CD and I don't have it on Mp3.

I got The Carter playin right now actually. It's a good album, and I play it at high volumes, but he's not a lyricist.

My name is Hov, H to tha O V
I used to move snowflakes by the OZ
I guess even back then you could call me
CEO of the R.O.C.
fresh out tha fryin pan into the fire
I be the music biz's number one supplier
flyer than a piece of paper bearing my name
got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain

and this...

If skills sold truth be told
I'd probably be, Lyrically talib kwali
truthfully I wanna rhyme like common sense
but I did 5 mil, I ain't been rhymin like common since

when your cents got that much in common
and you've been hustlin since
your inception, [censored] perception go with what makes sense

since, i know what I'm up against,
we as rappers must decide what's most impor-tant
I can't help the poor if I'm one of them
so I got rich and gave back, to me that's the win-win
so next time you see the homey and rims spin
know my mind is workin just like them (the rims that is)

PWNS whoever

Joe Budden is from my home town (jersey city)

Also, his albums been out for like 3 years, so he's not quite the future.

Eminem-"]http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=02C2AWTXPS9W91P7PFTMPUOTXB]Eminem- The Sauce[/url]

by the way, whoever put Eminem into the same category as Ja Rule needs to take themselves out of the gene pool right now

"Joe Budden" Joe Budden is so much different than "Mood Muzik", "It's That On Top Musik", "I'm Back", and "Mood Muzik 2" Joe Budden.

So, he's been around a while, but his new material seems like it's from a totally different rapper.

Also, OP-How do you leave out "Dumb Out" and "3 Sides 2 A Story"?

Jay-Z is hands down the best ever at telling everybody he's the best ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Because he is.

[/ QUOTE ]

i love how when jay z is appearing on someone elses track on someone elses album, after 3 lines he immediately drops any pretense of what the track is about and goes into his "im the best alive" schpeel.
