This is dumb comparing two completely different types of comedy. Better questions would be asking CYE vs Seinfeld or Simpsons vs Family Guy.

I will agree, the first two seasons of Family Guy, basically unrated are undoubtedly the funniest of the two. However, now that Family Guy has kind of been commercialized in a sense, broadcasted on TV, it's not nearly as funny. It really dissapoints me.

WTF are you talking about? Family guy was broadcast on TV from the beginning.

I loved all four. But I liked Seinfeld more than CYE just because of the way Seinfeld smoothed out David when they wrote together. David is great at making you so uncomfortable it's funny. Which why I also like the Office. CYE is a real uncomfortable comedy. When it first started I would watch the episodes in halves because I would have to turn it off mid way through.

I used to love the old Simpsons, but to me Family Guy just hit home. I swear to god sometimes I'm writing that show. The Transformers, He-Man, Indiana Jones, A-Team, MacGyver jokes are my entire childhood. Sombody needs to put the Simpson's out of their misery. Either go the South Park route and try to get kicked off the air or quit.

I don't think you can compare Family Guy and CYE except that both have become a bit hit and miss.
