Remaining at a table
Good Evening peeps,
Question - should you remain at a table after you have made a huge mistake, one which everyone has seen (eg total bluff gone wrong)? Thanks in anticipation of your insight. |

Re: Remaining at a table
depends
you can use the "mistake" to your advantage later ... more likely to call now when you have the goods |

Re: Remaining at a table
If the "mistake" is a bluff gone bad, I will normally stay at the table and use this to my advantage. You will most likely get more action on your c-bets and preflop raises, so you may want to adjust accordingly.

Re: Remaining at a table
If the mistakes were made because your 'friend' might be outclassed then he should leave the table ASAP.

Re: Remaining at a table
I end up leaving a lot, mostly because I am angry at myself for doing something so dumb and I want to avoid tilt issues. Without tilt, I think it is probably +EV to stay at the table, as long as you recognize your mistake and understand (at least partially) how your opponents will view/adjust to your mistake.
