J4s flop bottom 2, turn play?
BB is pretty passive 25/0/0.7, no read on UTG.
Seems like a pretty easy bet/fold? Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (5 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, CO folds. Turn: (4 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero ??? |

:grunch:
3 handed I would consider check-calling this down due to the nice implied odds. |

definitely a bet...not an auto fold if it's raised. You might still have the best hand against a raise. And if not you have outs to improve.

Bet the turn. If you get raised, crap. I think the line you take after that depends on who raises you, but I favor a call down.

Re: J4s flop bottom 2, turn play?
with 4 players behind, anyone think about a c/r on the flop to make any flush draws pay (or check-call depending on where the bet comes from)?

Re: J4s flop bottom 2, turn play?
Checking a monster in an A-high flush draw flop in an unraised pot is bad because you have no idea where a bet will come from (if at all) and they're much more likely to call the flop than the turn if it checks through.

Re: J4s flop bottom 2, turn play?
Grunch:
Bet it. The way I've been thinking lately is: what will I do if they bet my check? If I'm not going to fold then it's cost the same as if I bet but I've thrown away the initiative. And when you could well be winning, there are other reasons why someone would bet and you have redraws to a full house, I don't think I'd fold if they bet. So bet/fold it instead. |
