Default Who are the top MLB prospects that are going to make their team?

Verlander (start) and Zumaya (bullpen) have made the Tigers staff.
Joel Guzman is still with the Dodgers.
B.J. Upton and Delmon Young (f'ck the D'Rays) have been sent down.
Fransisco Lirano is still up. Scott Baker is in the rotation.
Matt Cain should be in the Giants rotation.
Jeremy Hermida is going to bat second for the Marlins.
Prince Fielder should be the everyday first basemen for the Brewers.
Andy Marte down, Ryan Zimmerman starting, Alex Gordon and Ian Stewart still up.
Stephen Drew gets sent down, a mistake IMO. Chris Young is still injured. Carlos Quentin is still up, but massively blocked by Luis Gonzalez and Shawn Green.
Anthony Reyes gets sent down in favor of Sidney Ponson (ouch!).
Felix Pie is still up.
Paplebon will be on the roster, maybe even as a starter. Lester is still up. Craig Hansen is still up. What about Declarman?
Hanley Ramirez is up and will probably be the everyday SS.
Ian Kinsler and Josh Barfield are both going to start.
Brandon McCarthy will make the team, probably in the same role as Paplebon and Zumaya.

Is there anyone I'm missing? What is the word on some of these guys that are still up but haven't assured themselves roster spots?

I think it has to be the Red Sox guys without question. Most of the other guys are on teams that are still a year or five away from being in contention. I think the biggest question mark with the Red Sox right now is the pitching, and if these young guys are for real, they could win 100 games.

I would say Prince Fielder is 2nd, followed by Verlander (who I believe is overrated), and Matt Cain.

I made a mistake. Stephen Drew has not been sent down yet.

Felix Pie was sent down today.

I think the Rays were right in giving Young more time, no need to rush him, especially since he struggled a bit in AAA.

On the other hand, Upton should have been starting for them(somewhere) for the last 2 years.

BP ran a piece, i believe in the 2004 edition, which basically stated that even if rocco baldelli and carl crawford were ready for the majors, it was pointless to bring them up and escalate their arbitration clocks to the point where they would be expensive when the team was ready to contend.

the devil rays either read that article or someone pointed this out to them, because they have taken a very different tack with upton and young. like it or not, i think they're handling it correctly. it's not like upton is ready to play a major league-caliber SS yet, and his value to the team is far less at any other position since they are loaded in CF.

When I read something like this, it makes me understand more and more why top flight draft picks hold out for big bonuses. IMO, Upton has been screwed out of at least $10M already, and counting.
