Surely this is a push/fold situation since I'm OOP and I don't want to flat call to see the A hit the flop? Or is anyone just calling here and trying to play it out post flop? Unfortunately no reads because I've been watching a film at the same time and paying very little attention [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

Well you cant fold this, thats for sure. Yes, you can just call this sometimes to mix up your play and Check-Raise him all in at flop. Or of course you can raise 7-13$ [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I realise its $25NL, but if you are interested enough to post the hand afterwards, surely you should be able to pay a little attention (or have PT and GT+ running).

Anyway, I think the preflop push is pretty bad- by the time it gets back to you, you are heads up. Make no mistake, you want to get it all in preflop against 99% of $25NL players, but a standard pot sized reraise will accomplish this a lot more often than a huge overpush like that. Take it to $6.50 or so, if he pushes, call, if he raises, push, if he calls and any non ace flop comes push. If an ace high flop comes, play poker.

I don't push here preflop, but raise to about $12. Although there is no way you're getting away from this hand, as well as no way you're folding preflop if villian repushes. Given the flop, if villian calls my reraise to $12 preflop, I'm just pushing on the flop anyways.

I don't think it's a push or fold scenario PF. That would be read dependant, and you were busy watching a film and not paying much attention, shame on you!

I think popping it again is probably best, though calling villains RR is ok too. By only calling you give villain many chances to make a mistake on the flop (as long as he isn't holding AA). By RR villain PF you get more money in while you are most likely the favorite which is always good and he still has some chances to make a mistake on the flop. By pushing you let villain get away cheaply on lots of hands. And folding shouldn't even be a consideration here.

Firstly I'd just like to say a quick thanks to everyone who has replied. So would a re-raise to about $10 be the best line to follow here? Assuming he calls that then I'm getting my chips in on any non A-high flop, right?
