no your not blocking here. you have the second nuts. you dont want a flat call. i make a small value bet and hope it gets raised then i shove all in and if he has the ace then so be it. many other hands will pay you off at this point

Raise more preflop so your flop bet commits you...where are the stacks anyways

I don't see anything but A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] raising you here if you block, but I can see a lower heart calling a value bet.

The pot is ~$50 and you have about $29 left. If by a small value bet you mean $5, I don't see the point.

I think I'd bet $25 or shove all in (I'm still not exactly sure if a push is seen as the nuts or as an attempt to bluff). I'd personally bet $25 and expect any reasonable heart to call here. I think any [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] above a 5 makes a reluctant call.

If he had top pair w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] kicker, tough. He could also have had suited connectors and slowplayed the turn. Or if he's a real donk, he might even pay you off with QJ and later complain to his friends how some donk rivered a flush against his two-pair.

Sorry I forgot to include stack sizes, I was just under $50 and he had about $70.

Results:

Hero Checks
Villian Bets $18.00
Hero All In
Villian Calls $10.25
Hero shows (K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])
Villian shows (T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])
Villian Wins $105.25 from pot 1 with : Flush, Ace

High
Should I have just called on the river? I figured if he has the ace he has the ace, but that I might be able to get some more money out of him if he was going to steal. Thanks for the input guys.

IMO everything looks good but that river all in raise. I would have just called it.

So why aren't we value-betting the turn here, too?
