Bought a new E1505 Inspiron...wow, it's loaded with BS

To anyone who buys a new Dell:

I always urge people to reformat and repartition their Dell computers, and get Dell to send you the driver and OS disk in the mail (for free), but I never knew how much total [censored] they package with your computers now. I just got my E1505 to replace my 6000, and this thing is loaded with crap.

It's imperative that you reformat ASAP and reload the operating system using the disk, not the Dell System Restore, since that just puts the same stuff back on.

when i got my 700m from dell it came with the coolbuddy mysearch toolbar on it that i couldn't uninstall easily. i had to use hijackthis to get rid of it.
i was kinda pissed it came installed with spyware, but i was able to get rid of everything without reformatting. i figure most people don't/can't though

it's a whole lot easier (and better) to just wipe the bs dell sends you and install a generis winxp on it and then update the crap out of it so its system specific. the dell win xp is just lame and slow and filled with crap that no one needs or will ever need - ever.

YEah...I've got a new dell that I'm having trouble uninstalling some things from. Wish I hadjust reformatted/reinstalled from the get go- before I loaded all my music, etc on it. ARRGH!

If if network it to my old comp, can I move programs there while I reformat or just files?
