Default Live 8/16 AJo UTG

Hero UTG A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises. Folded to BB who calls.
FLop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
BB bets. Hero raises. BB calls.
Turn: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB checks. Hero bets. BB calls.
River: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB checks. Hero bets.

Do you agree with the flop play, and should I have bet the river?

Flop play entirely depends on the villian. Against unknowns I tend to believe what they represent...

I don't like the river bet though. A pair isn't going to fold and it's fairly unlikely you will be called by a worse ace.

What hands do you expect him to fold on the river that he's calling the turn with? All you beat is a flush draw and he won't call with that anyway. He's always calling with an 8 or medium PP if he called the turn.

Fold pre-flop; check behind on river.

If you hook a fire-hose up to your stack, you'll probably be able to spew chips more efficiently...

Just kidding dude. But everything from the turn on is bad.

My options are raise or raise. Sometimes straddle.

check the turn, take your free card seeing as you called the flop. I raise this nearly 100% of the time.

why are we raising this flop? I don't get it. If he is bluffing, he will either out right fold, or fold the turn. If he if on a flush draw, he will call the raise and call the turn. But more likely, he has a piece, and he's going to just call down.

If you think he's capable of betting a flush draw, just start calling. You have nothing to protect here. If he has a flush draw, he has 12-15 outs twice, and raising won't get him to fold. Raising won't get him to fold a better hand. I just don't get it.
