You're getting practically freerolled by any 23, 24 or 34. You're not making another cent from 89 or 84. That's a lot of combos.

Once you put him in for the last bit, you're basically risking $115 to win $50. I can't see that being a good idea.

Edited to add: betting that flop into a field of 5 is suicide.

It's usually just one or the other, sometimes both. I figure the more forums I post my hands in, the better chance at least one person will tell me I played correctly. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Personally, I really like how you played this hand, I'd play it the same, and jam the rest of my chips in on the turn. If you get beat by the perfect hand or a 234 + draw freeroll/quarter combo or something like that, just shrug your shoulders and chalk it up to variance... you can't look for ways to fold hands like these IMO.
