Default thanks guys

thanks guys. all these posts help.

for some reason, predraw, i was expecting this hand to likely get down to heads up. once it was my turn to draw a 2nd time, it was complete reversal- i was thinking- ok this is probably going to be multiway until the end. but yeah, its too late to change strategy at that point though with the hand i made.

the point that set off the lightbulb for me here is- drawing rough OOP is very bad multiway.

thanks

PS- i broke the 87 (not realizing that a 6 was no help), made garbage and folded on the end...and 97 won a big pot

I whip the 8 as well on the first draw.

Once you got there, I keep it.

I doubt folding predraw here is as terrible as you suggest.

What makes you doubt it is terrible?

7:1 odds against someone who can open light and 2 people who didn't feel like isolating...yeah, that is an easy call

At this point, stand pat. You have very little chance of improvement, and a rough 8 is still a decent hand. Bet the next round, check/call the river.

But I can see real merit in having drawn 2 on the flop. You really want to draw to the nuts 4 handed.
