SNG:s and variance ?
So im a limit player considering switching to SNG:s, one of the reasons for this is the lower variance. Is the variance and win rates info i found in the faq still accurate or has partys turbo SNGs changed variance and/or win rates ?

Re: SNG:s and variance ?
I play in stars turbos, but they are only slightly different from speeds. From what I've read though, playing speeds instead of regulars decreases your ROI, but may still be more profitable because they only take ~35 minutes.

Re: SNG:s and variance ?
There is a rumour going (not unfounded) that limit players suck at SNG's, so keep an open mind and be prepared to unlearn some habits ... GL pleyya

GL pleyya [/ QUOTE ] While this may be true intially... once a good limit players learns the required adjustments and strategy of a SNG, they are probably better than most players who have not played cash games a their main game for a very long time. Limit players are MUCH MUCH MUCH better post flop players than anyone who has only played SNGs their whole life. |

Re: SNG:s and variance ?
Yes, but I have a feeling that NL Hold'em cashgame players are even better than limit cashgame players ... or what do you think ?
Edit: It is no secret that playing the different forms of cashgames make you improve as a pokerplayer as each of these require different skills (Stud, Omaha, Hold'em .. Limit, NL, Potlimit, Hi/lo .. etc.) but praising the limit hold'em player is |
