50NL - AKs in Blind Battle... too weak?
I try to get less weak-tight, but this hand was really bad IMO. Fold sooner, or move over the top after the flop min-raise or turn bet? Call the overbet on the river? I felt I was behind to either a set or two pair, but I also tend to see monsters under the bed.
No reads on villain, I had recently sat down. Re: 50NL - AKs in Blind Battle... too weak?
in a blind battle i am never folding here. BB is playing any ace like this.
i'd be trying to get all the money in and be thankful that BB did it without my having to do anything here. if you think worse aces are paying you off no matter what, this line is fine. |

Re: 50NL - AKs in Blind Battle... too weak?
There are some things you can do with this hand. It inevitably boils down to how aggro villan is and his hand range.
Against a LAG, I usually c/r turn. c/c-ing isn't terrible, but it allows your opponent to easily value bet you. Against a normal opponent, I usually bet/fold the turn. Then block the river (this river I would consider c/f-ing). |

I like a 3bet on the flop here. It's a blind battle, IMO we are way ahead of his range, so lets just get it in.

The flop minraise in position is bopth scary and not.
I like a stop & go on the turn for 2/3 PSB. It should shut down - but get calls from - most pairs. If you're against a set or 2 pair, it will announce itself by raising. |

Re: 50NL - AKs in Blind Battle... too weak?
if you are flat calling his flop raise you have to be leading out on the turn, or at least making a huge check raise
