Default 5/10 LHE hand against predictable opponent

beginning of the session and we are feeling each other out. He plays TAG, but predictable, and a bit weak for HU.

I have Td3d

sb/button completes, I check

flop 4d7d6h i bet, he calls
turn kc i bet, he calls
river 3h i check, he bets, i fold

I like the flop bet with your big draw, with two cards to come you're close to a coinflip against any one pair hand (and even hands with a T or three that would normally have you "dominated"), and a favorite when your flush draw isn't dominated against a no pair hand. On the turn, you no longer have an equity edge against anything but an open-ender with no kicker, and since he weak-tight he either is oe, has a pair, or a flush draw too, so i prefer check-calling because he's probably not folding any of these hands on this board, and I doubt he peeled here with a hand like Q9 or even Ax (if hes weak-tight enough to limp OTB with an A). Given your line I dont mind the river c/f, though I think it might sometimes be good for metagame to bet/fold here, but what do you do on a brick river?

I would give up on a brick river as well. To me his open limp and the turn call scream weak pair, and he is going to showdown. On the turn i think betting anc c/c are the same because im only getting raised by a strong hand so I might as well keep the initiative.

yeah... I forgot to take into consideration that betting the turn makes you more likely to get action if you hit the river, so in that aspect betting is superior, especially since you rarely get raised. I was just wondering if you would ever bluff the river, since the board is draw heavy and he is weak tight.

I like it. That's a pretty good turn to bet against a weak player. I'd like to hear what other think about the river. He could have a 5 here from the way he played it or he could have a pair. Does anyone think he folds a pair enough to bet? I don't think so.

I think this is a good place to bluff the river acutually, but i felt he was not capable of folding if he had a pair.

I think you should have made a big bet on the river
