Default Re: calling out suitedsixes: the \"lazy aggressive\" strategy

Nice threat, nice posts. I think I got an example of suitedsixes 'lazy-aggression'.

Partypoker, SnG NL 109.
Blinds 300/600
Hero: 6000
SB: 6600
BB: 3800
UTG:3600

UTG folds, Hero has A9o. I have been very aggressive so far. Powertools would say this is a push with when you have an normal put in a normal (even bit loose) calling range.
I think by 6s lazy aggression this would be a (clear?) fold. Their is no reason to get too involved.
6s calls this lazy aggression, I like to think that powertools/ICM don’t use the correct equity for my stack. This is because when I fold (numbers in my example are not correct but I’m using them to illustrate my point) sb will push 50% of the time when bb calls 20% of the time my real equity is much higher then I get from ICM.
So in theory an marginal powertools push in a spot like this that can be +ev can be with your ‘real equity’ –ev.
Besides in your AQo example TT/AK is way to tight. When the bb wins the hand he wins the tournament immediately. I think it is okay to gamble with 1/3 of your stack in that position. (I don’t know if KJ call is okay but your range is to tight.
Most of this ideas came from an discussion with some of my (dutch) pokerfriends.
