Re: *Official Sopranos Ep. 6.02* (SPOILERS)
[ QUOTE ]
This was a fantastic episode. Edie Falco and Frances McDormand should have a super-acting love child. [/ QUOTE ] What are you talking about? Did I miss yet another rumor? |

Re: One Good Line
Sorry my reply came off as indignant. I was just trying to communicate that I thought the line was great because it was a logical continuation of what happened before. I thought it was strange to misconstrue that I hadn't seen the BJ scene since the line wouldn't make any sense to someone who hadn't.
Language, as we see, is an imperfect form of communication. |

[ QUOTE ]
I enjoyed the episode. More symbolism: - Tony checked into the "Omni" hotel. 'Omni' is associated with God, everywhere, all, everything... [/ QUOTE ] I didn't notice that one, interesting though. I'm catching up on netflix while watching the new season, and this season is soooo different from the others I've seen (I'm in the middle of Season 3), it's great though. Anyone else see any not so obvious symbolism? |

Re: *Official Sopranos Ep. 6.02* (SPOILERS)
I couldn't help not watching the new season with one of my good friends, I watched the mod minutes on HBO for seasons 4 and 5 thought I plan on watching all of them, no self control I guess, the aura of a new season is far too enticing, however retarded that may be.

Re: *Official Sopranos Ep. 6.02* (SPOILERS)
My bold prediction:
Tony remains in his coma until Melfi comes to visit and he hears her voice, after which he comes out of it. This both delights and infuriates Carmela. My easy prediction: Edie Falco wins another Emmy in major part due to her performance in the "Join The Club" episode. |

Re: *Official Sopranos Ep. 6.02* (SPOILERS)
[ QUOTE ]
Good article worth reading. Not a dream [/ QUOTE ] This article explains a lot of the symbolism that we missed. Here Tony's stuck in Orange County, quite possibly the most personality-free corner of the world, with no way to leave (a k a Purgatory). On one end of town is a shining beacon (Heaven), on the other, a raging forest fire (Hell). Over and over, he stops to assess the worth of his own life, asking, "Who am I? Where am I going?" Then he steals the identity (sin) of Kevin Finnerty -- a heating salesman who lives in one of the hottest states of the union (Arizona) -- checks into another hotel, and falls down a red staircase, at which point he learns he has Alzheimer's (eternal damnation). And while Carmela's busy in the real world telling him he's not going to Hell, Tony's in Purgatory debating whether to tell his wife this is exactly the fate he has in store. |
