If I lost a thousand bucks to straight flush over straight flush I would be on permatilt, unable to speak or write coherently for several years.

Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here
[ QUOTE ]
i have to say i didnt realise it was an stt hand, i assumed mtt. that might change my answer as i havent played stts in years, they make me lose the will to live. reason limp is better than fold is because you either want little or all of your stack in pf in this situation, so limp with intent of reraising any raiser all in unless action becomes crazy is superior to standard raise called in one spot where you have 1k behind, 700 in the pot, and a lot of flops where no remaining option seems especially attractive, because any bet gets you potstuck and checking is asking to get robbed if your hand is in fact still best on a flop that looks bad to you. its possible that im wrong w.r.t stts where everyone is shallow and playing robotically, i dont know. but in mtts that number of big blinds makes it hard to go wrong by never raising preflop, esp in early position. [/ QUOTE ] My view is that if you limp, you're going to get pushed over quite a lot, and then you have to decide whether you want to take what is likely a flip for your stack. If you push, the others have to decide, and I think it'll be pretty unexploitable at these blinds with these stacks. |

Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here
I would like to thank Chim for asking me to do a transfer from Tilt to Stars. I have played at every site there is, but I have never played on Stars outside of Poggaments. We transferred $300 so I started playing a few STTs. I had maintained a consistent 4-6% ROI in STTs on Tilt. I am finding Stars to be much more congenial.
Honestly avatars are amazing. All Tilt people look the same and I pay no attention while playing. At Stars I can actually remember players by their avatars and I can stop folding to the morons and pushing 99 over the good players' raises. Obviously I also run goot. |

traz, I know how you can run good again. Be pro and change the name of the PT-DB. Instant running hot gurantee imo.
Pretty disgusting graph though especially since I know some of the hands etc. |

So, what do people think is a good bankroll to have to move up to 100 NL? I'd be buying in for $40

Re: Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share wiith Poggers here
why shortstack?
I'd guess (don't know the math) that the variance would be higher playing a shorter stack though. 30 buyins would probably be enough, but I don't know how safe that would be (or if it would be too safe) |
