3bet or fold preflop.
as played we can call here and see what he does on the turn, if we raise we turn our hand into a bluff. he could have anything here. you see AQ,QQ+ here quite often. |

[ QUOTE ] Fold preflop call the flop. [/ QUOTE ] do you see no merits in 3 betting Nick? [/ QUOTE ] I don't see enough value in playing this hand after a utg limp and a raise from a pretty passive player in MP. MPs pfr range here probably isn't very wide and we're not in that good shape vs it. We're in even worse shape vs his calling range of a 3-bet. If we raise we're getting called by any hand that dominates us, we're not getting called by hands we dominate much (maybe KJs/QJs) and the rest of the time we're in flippish situation vs 77+ or something. Re-raising is probably better than calling, but I wouldn't do that without knowing MP is weak vs 3-bets and opens a reasonably wide range in situations like this. |

Since he is just an agressive player he could make this play with absolutely nothing. I often make plays like this with nothing at all. Re-evaluate at the turn or be prepared to lay it down if he reraises.

Re: NL50: Call raise preflop and flops TPGK. Villain cbets.
Why are you calling preflop? If you think your K or Q will be a good TP hand against this opponent then OK (like he's raised the last 6 hands or something). or he will check every time he misses and you can steal. Otherwise, you just put yourself in a tough spot for nothing and should have just folded preflop. I think cold calling KQ is a leak at this limit.
