Re: Fire Tony Kornheiser

Steve Young's utter contempt for Emmitt is the best thing ever. [/ QUOTE ] Steve Young is by far the best analyst on the MNF lead-up. IMO, they should replace TK with him in the booth. Anyone see where Steve Young and Chris Mortenson got into it? Steve Young was disgusted when Mort called Peyton Manning a HERO after that 6 int game against the Chargers. He was cracking up during the time Mort was talking about it and could barely compose himself when asked to comment before saying something like "only you Mort could call Peyton Manning a hero after that performance" to which Mort then insinuated that SY doesn't watch any football games. I didn't think anyone would read it that carefully but yeah I just started out with utter nonsense and ended up with "touchdown makes the score seven - nothing at halftime." |

[ QUOTE ] Tony Kornheiser is literally the worst broadcaster in the history of the NFL. [/ QUOTE ] Rush Limbaugh will never budge from #1 imo. [/ QUOTE ] not technically a broadcaster i guess, but he was truly terrible. |

Re: Fire Tony Kornheiser
wow I can't believe I may the only person on 2+2 that likes kornheiser on MNF. And with Jaws this year instead of Thiesman, Tony actually respects his booth members rather than secretly making fun of them leading to way too many awkward silences.
I'm curious, out of all the Sunday broadcasters, who does 2+2 actually like? I personally don't mind Madden/Michaels, although I'd rather the MNF lineup. Nantz/Simms are decent as well. Probably 3rd most enjoyable behind MNF and M/M. I also don't mind Aikman either. I think hes pretty knowledgable, sometimes funny and always honest. Daryl Johnston fits into this category as well. I was suprised to see him and Aikman both do so well. I hate Kenny Albert, he needs to leave quicker. Joe Buck is ok, a little arrogant but he keeps the games flowing well. I really don't have much opinion on Gumbel/Dierdorf. They don't really stand out to me. All the others I don't get to see that often, but in all honesty, there is really no one like Kornheiser in the football broadcasting business. Hes funny, knows *something* about football and other sports (compared to Limbaugh/Miller) and seems to genuinely get along with his booth. I don't understand the hate. There is no one else I'd rather in the booth on Monday than who they have in there right now. |

Re: Fire Tony Kornheiser
[ QUOTE ]
A couple years back or whenever it was, for the MNF doubleheader they put a 3 man team together with Jaws and Vermeil doing the color. They were great together. [/ QUOTE ] That's because Vermeil was Jaworski's HC in Philadelphia. So naturally, they think on a similar wavelength. This would mean that it would be like having two Jaworskis in the booth. And we only know that there is only room for one. |

Most all the jibberish languages are derived from Balltic, including our very own Ball Speech found in the modern ball posting era.
