Re: UTG Limpers
There is no such thing as a TAG who limps UTG. tag!=open limping. I assume the big gap between VPIP and PFR is from overlimping? Do not overlimp. If you want to play the hand in position, raise the limper. If your VPIP is 35, your PFR has to be at least 30, and it gets so high because you raise limpers in position with almost anything.
Post flop, you cbet, and if they call, you're almost always done with the hand if you haven't improved. In order to do this, you have to raise PF and not just overlimp. If they are never folding to your cbet, then tighten up. |

Re: UTG Limpers
If they are limping too much I'll raise 4.5 instead of 3.5bb. Unless their really tricky/good then ill stay around 3. Keep pumping KQ and 55+ all day with position on them.

Re: UTG Limpers
Tighten up your range and raise those UTG limpers with 77+, KQs+. This should make it easier on the flop, but is still very dependent on your hand reading skills.
Raising with J-10s type hands against loose passive often do not work out too well since they limp Ace high and often have the best hand postflop. |

Re: UTG Limpers
Don't worry about your stats.
If the guys behind you don't raise much and the limpers are calling stations, it is ok to limp along with speculative hands, hit and get paid. You know their range and where they stand on the flop. Raise all the hands you'd normally raise without a limper and you get to play them in position, or take down an extra BB for your efforts. Limpers deserve to be punished, so do it. Squeeze liberally from the blinds=more free money. |
