400nl - Second best draw on paired board
Ok, this hand isn't that interesting, but I'm curious how people normally play this.
My image: probably around 21/18/4, raising ~35-40% of buttons folded to me Villain's image: 19/16/4, 100% fold to cbet, 95% cbet over ~400 datamined hands, did call my c-bet a couple of hands ago IP, folded to a double barrel, no other real history - so, pretty normal TAG Full Tilt Poker, $2/$4 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter UTG: $406 CO: $553.20 Hero (BTN): $643.20 SB: $459 BB: $518.50 Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN) 2 folds, Hero raises to $14, SB calls $12, BB folds Flop: ($32) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $25, SB raises to $80, Hero? What do you think is best and why? Going to bed, will read in morning. |

Re: 400nl - Second best draw on paired board
against a thinking player with those stats I check this flop alot...they tend to play back on these kinds of boards and we have good equity so we don't want to be pushed off
edit-- fold as played |

Re: 400nl - Second best draw on paired board
Fold as played, because our draw sux on a paired board.
I'm sick of arguing about cbets so reasons to check behind are 1.) You can't stand any heat 2.) he's not gonna believe our cbet 3.) the flop is right in his wheelhouse 4.) he already looked us up 5.) obviously the turn can help you. But with his stats, whatever. |

Re: 400nl - Second best draw on paired board
Ok, nothing good is on TV. Here are some of my general thoughts:
A 19/16 won't call OOP with Tx, I'd expect to get 3bet fairly often with suited connects that contain a T, maybe even 88. Basically, I don't think he shows up with the legit made hands he's repping very often, based on preflop. If he does have Tx, he probably has a lot of flush draws and air that we can rebluff. I do think there are quite a few low pocket pairs he's turning into bluffs here, as well. |

Re: 400nl - Second best draw on paired board
If u really think he doesnt call pre-flop with a10s, j10s, 109s etc. Then a shove is fine since u expect to fold out flush draws a lot of the time and random bluffs and the only made hand he could have would be 88 probably, I personally would not be confident enough in a pf range for an unknown to shove over a raise, which would mean I fold since not shoving assumes tens r a decent part of his range which means that we have very bad equity, same goes versus flush draws.
