Re: KK against thinking opponent
If he folds a hand like KJ (language nits: read a marginal second best hand), then check.
I really really don't understand "I'm not foldiing", please explain |

Value bet. He may think you're repping a narrow range by firing this river, and will call down light.

Re: KK against thinking opponent
I think cc is the best option here
Villain didnt raise preflop which with his stats leads me to believe he doesnt have an A or any pair. I think he is most likely calling PF with suited connectors with a J or a 5 (J more likely due to combinations). With a 5 he may well play it slow even tho theres an FD out there and with a J he might feel pot control is more important option HU than hand protection. I dont think he has a FD so Im not too worried about the spade on the river as I think a FD folds the turn here. As a result I think cc is the best option. I definitely dont like a fold but Id hate to bet out and be raised. Of course he could be varying his play and calling PF with any of the hands I ruled out above including AA Edit to say .... hmmm maybe a J doesnt bet out here on the river and of my likely range only a 5 bets out. Damn .... ummmm .... call a bet of 45 or less maybe and fold to bigger. |

Re: KK against thinking opponent
Yes, AE6 has it right. BTW, I think:
b/f > c/f >> c/c >> b/c against this opponent I would never c/c or b/c against a player like this who probably isn't going to turn a made hand into a bluff. |

[/ QUOTE ] ok thats exactly what i thought, but gratned that that card changed the dynamic of the board a lot i opted to check because i just couldnt figure him for a hand that would pay off if i led. maybe he thinks my bluff range now is wider and might but i dont see why hed call a bet here with QJ/KJ i checked he bet 62 i folded. |

Re: KK against thinking opponent
Tbh id rather c/r AI than c/c here, simply because he is never betting with a worse hand. So he has either AJ a flush or FH, at least by c/r AI you can occasionally win the pot.
I still like c/f because if you bet i dont think he looks you up with a random J or underpair here. |
