bankroll for small stakes=?
What is the approtaite roll you would need to play small stakes? How many buyins is adequate for small stakes? I got a few hundo that I'm going to put online. I don't know how that would do.

Re: bankroll for small stakes=?
if you have a few hundo you should just play nl10 or nl25, thats the micro stakes forum.

Re: bankroll for small stakes=?
start small - $.5/$1 nl would require no less than $1000, and more if you are a beginner. you can also buy in for less than full buy in. perhaps start with $.1/$.25 and see how it goes, then work up

Re: bankroll for small stakes=?
the number of buyins u need for a level is based on a few factors, like if u play a low or high variance game...
the games are getting a bit harder, so don't be surprised by lengthy downswings, for that reason, even if ur willing to move down, defintely have at least 30 buyins for whatever level u want to play IMO |

Re: bankroll for small stakes=?
If you have only a couple hundo, $.5/$1 is WAY out of your league for a starting game. If you are somewhat comfortable with your basic ability I'd suggest starting an NL25 cuz you'll move up faster than if you start way down at NL10. That said def starting at NL10 is better if you don't have that much confidence. If you need to ask yourself which choice is better I'd say stick w/ NL10. BTW using a $1000 roll for NL100 is crazy talk. I've lost 10buy-ins in like 2000 hands. Variance is a bitch.
