NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
I am running at 18/16/4 and villain in this hand is at 17/14/3.5 over 150 hands.
My rationale for checkcalling flop and turn is that I am either way behind or way ahead - and if I am way ahead I have the flushdraw at least. Any thoughts on riverplay? After the session I went over the hand and thought - hang on why do I push if I have zero fold equity given his stack size. Anyone in favor of just calling and folding if flop missed us? Obvious downside is that I dont really get any value if he is just generally "donking it up" with any two or Ax. Re: NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
bet flop turn and river in hand one, and be happy about getting it AI on the flop or turn.
hand 2 good <50BB's + AK = AI |

Re: NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
Hand 1 - on the flop you have 9 outs to the nut flush, how could you be way behind? Just bet for value. As played, your river play seems fine.
Hand 2 - getting all in with AK for < 50 bb is fine. Watch out though, because some donks only reraise/limp-reraise with a very tight range. Flat call is bad imo - your hand really wants to see all five cards. |

Re: NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
in hand #1, which hand that I am beating will I get action from though? I am usually never a fan of check/calling but in this particular instance it felt so right :-)

Re: NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
AA played weak, bet/call the flop and just keep betting and don't stop betting.
AK is standard given stacks... |

Hand #1 - bet/bet/bet
Hand #2 - AK is the nuts 50bb deep, get it in every time |

Re: NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
i dont like c/c c/c bet with overpair and nut fd. c/r flop. bet/call turn. bet river. be more agressive with a hand like that. c/c c/c practically screams ace of diamonds you werent getting paid off at all. may as well have had AsAh.
second had. limp rr screams big pair to me, but i guess the play is fine given stacks and your read on him as a donk. |

Re: NL 200, quick linecheck with AA and AK
AA is horrible
bet/raise/shove flop we are way ahead or close to even at worst, even against top set we have like 11 outs. terrible weak play and you need to go read up on the meaning of WA/WB because it has no relevance here. hand 2 is fine. based on his stack sizes he a) has a wide range, and b) is a fish |
