NL 50: AKs OOP
Hero running at 20/13/2.5
Villian running at 22/10/4, cbetting 89% of the time over 200 hands I don't always 3bet OOP against a reasonable player w AK but I can certainly see the argument and I'm sure many would advocate that action PF. I do work it in from time-to-time, so no worries. Once I get to this flop, how do you proceed? After I got raised over my weak-ass CR (error!), I felt lost. He could have AdQd or similar combo draw, JJ, AK also, maybe AJs or AA/KK. Re: NL 50: AKs OOP
Reraise preflop a billion percent. Going broke is fine here.

Re: NL 50: AKs OOP
I'm curious why you wouldn't reraise preflop when he's raising a much wider range since he raises 10% of hands.
I'd def. go broke on this flop. He's not going to think you have AK and he may think AJ is the nuts, he can have Adxd. |

Re: NL 50: AKs OOP
I go broke. I agree with Chargers, I'm usually 3betting AK almost 100% of the time when someone's PFR is over 8-10.

Re: NL 50: AKs OOP
Do we like the CR here to get max value out of random pocket pairs since he almost always Cbets?
This is definately the type of player who I'd 3bet a lot IP. Sometimes I'd repop here, othertimes I'm looking for Axx or Kxx flop and let AQ/AJ/KQ/etc hang themselves since he's so agressive (can be very profitable). |

Re: NL 50: AKs OOP
Three-betting is better OOP than IP. Three-betting helps negate some of your positional disadvantage and increases the value of a high one-pair (which is what you'll usually make with AK if you make anything).

Re: NL 50: AKs OOP
postflop is good. I'm pretty much 3betting this 90% of the time preflop though.

That could be a discussion in and of itself.
