Re: hand street by street
[ QUOTE ]
fold we know nothing about anyone at the table. 3betting 66 vs an OTB+2 open raise is pushing a thin edge at best, and with no knowledge of villains tendencies we are more likely to make mistakes postflop. also 3betting here loses its effectiveness when the blinds are loose. it would be nice to know something about them. 66 does not have an equity edge on most players OTB+2 raising range, picking up dead money is a big part of what can make 3betting preflop profitable. [/ QUOTE ] Glad Im not the only one who folds this. These are my thoughts exactly. |

Re: hand street by street
Id just call the flop. I think you're in pretty bad shape vs sb's range.

Anyhow, turn was a jack offsuit and it went check, check to me, do we check here assuming SB is scared of bet/fold to try charging flush draw or air? |

[/ QUOTE ] NINA, this was the main reason i posted this hand, my thinking was along these lines but i feel real tight folding 66 PF OTB 5 way, i think so much depends on UTG's range and if the blinds are tight or not. i want to really focus in on improving my play in hands like these |

Dont give free cards in a pot this size. I also think you're ahead very often with this action. |

Re: hand street by street
SB most likely has a scared 44-TT based on his flop+turn play. UTG can have those same hands, but overcard hands also need to be considered
there are more 77 88 99 TT combos than 44 55, and it is unlikely that UTG is going to overcall with anything except mayve 44 55. he may even have you beat now with a hand like AT KT QT. I don't think there is value in a a river bet. |

Re: hand street by street
Oh dear lord
3 [censored] bet preflop Not close here is what happens 98% when you 3-bet. People go into the worlds easiest mode to play against calling you down or folding their weak hands and raising their strong hands. Whenever a given play makes people play their hand face up you should make that play. Stop being such huge nits. Regarding the flop. See a SD vs unknowns |
