I like using names of Greek gods. We compromised on our current dog, naming her Zena (sic).

Name your dog your niece's name, then call your niece Skippy.

Alternatively, the following names are alright for a male of this breed:

Simon Belmont
Richter Belmont
Dracula Sr.
Dracula Jr.
Dear Daniel
Big Steve
Oversized Steven
Clinically Obese Steverino
