Which site (Party or Stars) will you be primarily playing on Jan 1?
I'm just curious how many of you 10/20 6max players will be making the switch.

VIP club on Stars. [/ QUOTE ] What's the VIP worth? I've got 28% rakeback, it'd have to be work a pretty damn good amount for me to switch sites. I love PokerStars though, it'd be nice to have that incentive. |

[/ QUOTE ] It's worth quite a bit. The cash equivalent of 1FPP is about $0.016. (You can't get cash, but you can get tournament entries, and if you don't play tournaments, sell the T$ at almost par.) Once you're in the top VIP tier, you get 3.5FPP per raked hand, or about $5.50/100. What exact rakeback percentage that equates to depends on your play. You only get the 3.5FPP/rake after playing 100k rakes on the year; until then, as long as you're playing at least 10k/mo, you get 2.5FPP/rake. It's also worth considering that Stars rake on 10/20 is cheaper than Party. Party takes $3 out of a $60-$65 pot, Stars takes $2. So take the percentage of pots you win that are $60-$65, divide it by three, and you have your "better rake structure" rakeback equivalent. Add it to the VIP rakeback-equivalent before comparing to the 28% you get on Party. |

But you don't get actual cash with the VIP club, do you?

You have 28% rakeback on Party?
Do you mind me asking how? I thought Party didn't allow rakeback? I'm currently getting no rakeback, and one of my New Years resolutions was to stop being lazy and apply for it. Since the Empire/Eurobet splits it's looking pretty glum. Is there still some way to get any sort of rakeback at all on the Party network? |

You know, if a person was intending to play 5/10 and 10/20 for the next two years they could do worse than to run Stars with the lower rake and pick up that Porsche.

But you don't get actual cash with the VIP club, do you? [/ QUOTE ] No, but you can get tournament entries. Unregister from the tournament and you have T$. T$ can be easily exchanged for US$ at near face value, and Stars will mediate the transaction. One well-known site for selling T$ is cashmanbrian.com, which will give you 96% of face value for T$. I'm sure you can do even better just asking around. I mean, I'd happily pay $980 for T$1000, why not, for me it's a free $20 since I go through well over $1000 in tourney buyins every week. So if you don't play tourneys, figure maybe the FPPs are worth $0.0155 instead of $0.016. |
