Bonus vs rakeback on pokerroom skins
I can get 40% rakeback on pokerroom skins. (betonbet) But i can also take the 7x bonus on bayou. What should I choose. My pokertracker says i paid 901$ in rake to clear the betsson 600$ bonus, after 11687 hands 1-1.
I guess the math is simple. Just want confirmation. Is this 7x bonus in reality bottomless? Thanks Blopp |

Re: Bonus vs rakeback on pokerroom skins
it's bottomless? awesome I might have to check that out.
but all rakeback on pokerroom skins is contributed. I'd take a 7x or even a 10x bonus over rakeback there. |

Re: Bonus vs rakeback on pokerroom skins
It's not bottomless, their previous bonus system WAS effectively bottomless but this new one isn't, it's just that the amount of bonus you can get with the 100% match is very large. BUT there is a 1x WR before you can withdraw again which might pose a problem for microlimit players who plunk down several thousand dollars.
It's entirely possible to get both RB and bonuses at the same time. A 7x bonus won't give you much back if anything because you get back on average everything you put in (though Blopp didn't, maybe some SH play?) but you should get back at least a little something on the 10x bonuses since those only return about 70% of your rake on average (leaving that other 30% for the RB to kick in). |

Re: Bonus vs rakeback on pokerroom skins
That is when playing tournies. When playing full ring you effectively get 100% rakeback when clearing a 7x poker network bonus. (.07 pts for .10 in rake, so 7 pts for $10 in rake, and you get paid $1 for every 7 points. Since the rake isn't contributed, at a 10 handed table you are putting in 1/10 of that $10 in rake per 7 points, so $1 in contributed rake per 7 points for $1 in bonus money= 100% rakeback at full ring)
6-handed it'd be $10/6= 1.667 in rake per $1 in bonus which is 60% rakeback. So yes, a 7x bonus is better then 40% rakeback. Have a nice day. |

But isnt the actuall rake there twice as much as every where else for small stakes players? [/ QUOTE ] Depends on which other sites you compare it to, but yes, the ongame network's rake is higher at micro limits. But this is also why they can offer a non-stop stream of bonuses unlike Party or Stars. Just never EVER play on the network without a bonus. But the clearance rate for the bonuses kind of suck at microlimits too. Their bonuses clear best at 3/6 and higher FR LHE though 2/4 isn't terrible (and whatever their NL counterparts are at those limits). At 5/10 they FLY by and the higher rake is essentially negated since it's capped at $3. |
