Re: Another common spot with AK
this is close between cbetting and c/folding. basically you're cbetting for image purposes, and/or if your opponents are likely to fold at this kind of flop (which 3-way, is a stretch). c/c'ing is atrocious.

Re: Another common spot with AK
Cbetting here sucks because you've got 2 opponents that your oop to, one of which likely hit a flop w/ a J and a T. You have a gutshot but there is a Fd on the board that will kill your action a % of the time u hit your str8. If you get called your never ahead, and have to fold to a float on a turn that you likely whiff.

Re: Another common spot with AK
Check-fold seems right unless you want to give yourself a more aggressive image (which I don't think is worth it). This board is just too draw heavy and too many high cards to c-bet this.
On the other hand, I think that if you are going to c-bet this flop, you have to make it about the pot-size because that is the amount you would normally bet with AA or KK. And you may get more folds as well. Check-fold seems much less spewy IMO. |

Re: Another common spot with AK
Even against AJ we have 30% - and lol at check folding this flop.
Don't be a nit. |
