the check was to induce bluffs, i thought w/ the jack on the river he's shoving worse jacks and that would make it raise/call instead of raise/fold

Hmm maybe it's more marginal than I thought. The only jacks that might call your raise are KJ, JT and occasionally J9. There is also a very small chance that he's slowplayed AA or KK into oblivion, but I would say not moe than 5% in this hand. On the other side, there's 33, QQ, QJ, 66, which are more likely to flat call the PF raise. I still think a call in this situation is -EV but it's a lot tougher than I thought on first glance.
