Re: 11R on stars bubble
The fact that the money "bubble" is approaching should not have been a factor in your decision here. 1st of all, this is the 11R, so 100 out of the 290 left prob don't even know what the "bubble" means. U gave no reads on how UTG+1(limper) or UTG+2(raiser) have been playing, or how the table in general has been. UTG+2 made a strong play, raising over a limper from EP. I'd like a 3-bet much more if he had opened, and if he was opening frequently from EP. If he had made this move previously (to iso UTG+1) then your shove is prob an EV+ move. What i'm trying to say is that you are behind his (UTG+2's) range here if he's not playing LAG. Without reads, i'd prob lean towards letting this go. Your stack is bad for flatting here, even in position.

Re: 11R on stars bubble
This is probably a bad shove. His raise there will traditionally be strong, and all that the bubble means is that you should adopt an assumption that unknowns will be tightening up their raising ranges significantly until it bursts.
That being said, you have included no information on this guys stats; or your impression of his play; or your image. He would need to be ultra laggy and spewy before I'd like this shove though. |
