Get called by a regular on the button (200NL)
Villain is a multi-tabling regular TAG , who I think is pretty good. His stats are 20/15 with aggression stats of 3/3/1.9/1.8.
I find that when a regular TAG calls in position, they are going to be raising my c-bet about 75% of the time. Anyways, I flop Top Pair, plus a flush draw, plus a gutshot. What to do with his fairly small raise on the flop? Push? Raise to what? Is flat calling ever good? I'd get it allin now, even though he's giving you good odds to peel, your draw is not very hidden and he's likely to shut down on any of the cards that improve your hand. Worst case scenario (66) you have 38% equity.

Re: Get called by a regular on the button (200NL)
grunch
An interesting stat on villain would be raise c-bet, as well as cold-call. I've read in a post about PAhud stats that if his cold-call is around 0.5, then he likely has a pocket pair, and if his raise c-bet is >15% then he is often FOS. Anyway, here villain likely has SC's or a pocket pair, so I'd say his range is {flush draw+2 overs; set; overpair; air (i.e. two overs)}, and that the repartition of this range depends on the stats I mentioned. Anyway, I think pushing is good. Raising less will create weird situations and probably decreases your fold equity (although it depends). Calling will put you in a weird situation on the turn especially since you are out of position. If you hit your flush, you might lose him as you bet again, and if you don't hit, you'll probably have to call his bet without having as good odds as you are getting now. |
