I have stats now on villain but yes... this was the 2nd hand of the session, so I didn't have anything on him. The reason I was worried with this call of my raise, and then an insta shove on the turn was that if he had a flush or straight draw, he would've shoved over the top of my raise on the flop since he's half stacked. By just calling, I figure he already has a made hand. The question is whether its more likely hes holding KQ,KT,K9 or hands that beat me.

Is it possible he has smth like K6 or AJ and feels committed on the turn (he should feel committed anyways)?

his line is very weird, i'd call this and be neutral about it. i mean, who calls a c/r on the flop then pushes on a blank. i think his hand is either a flush draw or a handrange that has you in a bad shape. but with 2:1 odds, you can't possibly ever fold this against shortstack. if he had AK, at least you didn't lose much. you'll get it back eventually.

If he has a flush draw, he shoves over the top on the flop. So I don't put him on that.
And he calls a c/r on the flop and pushes on a blank if he's protecting a made hand and making sure he gets the money in... Golfdish your line makes no sense... |

Im not saying its how id play it, but youd be suprised what alot of "unknowns" show up with here. imo if youre beat its by K5 or J5, im not giving him credit for betting the flop with 2 pair and then flatting a RR.

why wouldnt he push any hand he is open pushing the turn with. it doesnt make any sense. against players with nonsensical lines i call and make a note, you have a pretty good hand and better odds.

I guess I have to call because it's just more likely his range for an unknown half stack is at the bottom end rather than the top end. I don't think he hits two pair here unless its KJ, because I don't see players calling J5,K5 out of position in a raised pot. Or do I give too much credit...

For some reason when I call this (and this is an easy call, btw), villain shows up with middle pair no draw more often than not.
