Sorry, don't know of any stud converters (help?).

Re: 5-10 Razz....line check
Why not 3-bet the 6th ?
Otherwise seems standard to me.. |

Re: 5-10 Razz....line check
The only reason to flat call 6th is to trap on the river. Either reraise 6th or check/raise 7th, one or the other; you are better than an 80% favorite on 6th street, and not trying to extract an extra bet is criminal.

Re: 5-10 Razz....line check
and since both lines get the same number of bets, then 3bet 6th, lead 7th > flat 6th, c/r 7th?

Re: 5-10 Razz....line check
You know what would've been fun? I'd have been sorely tempted to check-call 5th street. It would be an easy sell that the A paired you. You know he is going to bet and it's so nice when you are ahead to rep a weak hand. Then the 8 would just be a huge gift on 6th. You might have gotten him to cap both streets.
Oh, and the hand-converter link is in the pinned thread at the top of this forum, or in any thread with a hand history. *** 5TH STREET *** Dealt to pubic heir [5d 4h 2c 7s] [As] Dealt to David Chiu [6d 8h] [7h] aidster stands up pubic heir bets $10 Long Gun 33 (Observer): hey buddy thanks David Chiu calls $10 *** 6TH STREET *** Dealt to pubic heir [5d 4h 2c 7s As] [8d] Dealt to David Chiu [6d 8h 7h] [3c] pubic heir bets $10 Antz_Bkr: ok David Chiu raises to $20 pubic heir calls $10 *** 7TH STREET *** Dealt to pubic heir [5d 4h 2c 7s As 8d] [9h] pubic heir checks David Chiu bets $10 pubic heir calls $10 |

Re: 5-10 Razz....line check
Of all the things that can go wrong, the highest probability is probably that Villain will check behind you on 7th and you lose the check/raise opportunity.
For that reason, I suspect that the 3-bet on 6th street is usually better than trapping, but it's very opponent-dependent. |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think it's anywhere near a certainty that he bets a very rough 8 into a 2-7-A board. Given the way this hand went down to that point, I'd be checking behind with 8-7-6 just about every time. |

I knew that the A was the perfect card because it made my hand, and because of my 3bet on 3rd he has to think it paired me. I led hoping he'd raise. But to check would have been sexy. |

I think a c/c on 5th might get an extra bet or two out of him (Boy, I'm realizing all the missed value from this hand!!!), and would have been a pretty brilliant play. I don't know that I get him to cap 6th and 7th, as he might get hip before that. |
