why is c/r so bad our hand is vulnerable and villain rarely has q

plus we have suckout equity if he calls

[/ QUOTE ]

well we're basically bluffing/trying to fold out 6 outers, yea? I'd rather c/r with a pp that has 2 outs to improve rather than middle pair since if villain actually has a hand and shoves, we have to fold a 5 outter and forfeit our share of pot equity.

This is true, except for the fact that we're in no man's land on the turn. It's going to be very hard for you to play perfectly here, which is where your equity comes from. If villian fires turn and we fold, who cares what equity we had. And if he checks behind we just gave him a free draw. Donking the turn is ok, but that's basically the same as c/r flop except that he gets a free turn. I think with TP this is an interesting discussion, but with anything more or less, I'm getting aggro, or folding if I've been too out of line.

yea, didnt realize it was 4 handed when I said fold preflop.

I guess its not that bad but still kinda bad w/out a read cause u end up playing guessing games postflop too often, like what happened here.
