Re: river fold or call?
Your turn check may have villian thinking your river bet is a bluff, but somehow I doubt it. I call the raise, but I'm not happy about it. Was this JT, or K9/KQ?

Re: river fold or call?
Looks like he might have JT. Pot is pretty small, i'd fold and make a note.

Re: river fold or call?
I call because villans line doesnt make a ton of sense , and expect to lose evertime to AK or JT.

Re: river fold or call?
Call getting almost 8:1. Your line doesn't look strong at all. He could put you on bluff that didn't have a Q and bet a potential scare card.
Villain is not very aggressive but he is not overly passive either. |

Re: river fold or call?
Bet turn (but check if CO had called flop).
I'm calling the river raise.. I think we will barely see KT, Kx [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], or a bluff enough to make it profitable. Plus calling here gives us quite a bit of information on how villian plays for future hands (what he cold called with, what he called on the turn but wouldn't bet river with, what he can raise on the river). |

Re: river fold or call?
Grunch:
Preflop: As played Flop: CB is okay Turn: I often fire the second barrel here in the face of no resistance from the button thinking that Button has maybe 2nd or 3 pairs to keep calling...A9s/A3s maybe. River: I call down here but wonder what the raise is for...maybe weaker K I guess...suited with something. Edited after reading the other posts and did not see JT...wow, maybe a leak you think? hehe |

[/ QUOTE ] I didnt bet the turn becouse I thought I dont have SD value with K high and cant play at river check-call UI (with possition I would bet turn to dont give srt8, flush draws free card and check behind). Even he is passive and probably see to often SD they also quite often like bluff at river becouse they can know that all TAG play bet/bet c/f line with them (many of this kind of players have very big river bet% stat) |

Re: river fold or call?
i think your turn check is fine as long as you are willing to mix in a turn CR with a hand like AQ or JT in this spot.
part of being unexploitable is to vary your play. this includes not always 3 barreling when you have a made hand and 1 or 2 barreling when you dont. |
