Re: QQ mid position with a paired flop
sucks, but I call down from here. He is somewhat passive, so I could see folding right now being correct. What are his c/r stats, showdown stats?

Getting 6.25:2 to calldown a quite passive villain I fold. I don't think that passive a villain c/r's the turn with a worse hand than yours often enough. |

Re: QQ mid position with a paired flop
how has villain played hands like this in the past?
many players with an AF of 0.5 would only have J here and a calldown is bad. others mix in enough bluffing to warrant calling. if you dont know, calldown and make a note. |

Fold. Against someone who's passive, you're screwed here.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with this though process. Here you are dealing with a preflop LAG that becomes passive postflop. It is a tough thing to do but laying this down against this type of player is going to save you money in the long run. There is almost no chance a passive player makes this raise without a J or better. If this type of oppenent had something like A8 they are likely just going to call down. |
