Re: How to play this better. 10NL.
make it 1.75 or so preflop. Im really confused about turn play, since there are billion hands that beat you and your only drawing to 10 flush outs, i would call this and be ready to fold river if you dont hit your flush unless you have specific reads that villain represents scarecards, since c/c and turn lead is pretty strong line.
Please please please dont post results since its makes it pretty hard to not be result oriented. |

Re: How to play this better. 10NL.
Oh wait, I thought that was the Ace of hearts on the flop not Ace of diamonds, that changes things.
I check the turn and see what he does, likely c/c and hope to improve on the river |

Re: How to play this better. 10NL.
Definitely 3-bet pre-flop, definitely. On the flop, you only need 33% equity to make calling correct. Sure, he could have K-Q, but that's only 9 combinations since you have a K.
There are a lot of hands in his hand range that he could play this same way. He could have A-J, KK, QQ, A-Q, or just be out of his mind. Sure, if he has K-Q, you're only about 25% to win + 10% to tie, but given his range, you easily make up the rest of your equity against the hands you're ahead of. If you re-raise PF, he might lay it down. Not everyone will, especially if he raised with it PF. But maximize your equity and get money in while you're ahead. PF, you're ahead with AK often enough to have no reason to just call with AK. If you raise to $2 (could go $1.50, but with a limper and more people to act behind you, I'd make it the 4x rather than 3x. So, now, if he calls, the pot is $4.25 and you have $6 left. It makes committing a lot easier. Edited b/c I missed the FD, and missed that the other guy had 8.15. |

against an unknown i think that when you see a line of check, call, pot it should set of all sorts of alarms. you aren't really beating anyone that takes this line except stupid people of course.

Re: How to play this better. 10NL.
I've cold called only 1% of the time. The last time I did, I was on the button. I re-raise almost all the time.

I'd find a better table; they're all shorties!
