Re: How bad is this?
i honestly think this is ok but then again I'm really thrown for a loop when someone posts/checks and then min raises.. not really sure what to put his range on.

Re: How bad is this?
I'm just curious to what other posters think, do you consider a oop post and then raise the same as a lrr?

Re: How bad is this?
This is a wierd spot. But I sorta like the way you played it given the stack sizes.

So, I'd consider it a 3-bet, but I don't give it as much credit because of the post. I think his range is pretty wide, and the hand was played well. You wanted to get it to showdown and did, and bet for value on the river when you made 2-pair, believing you are ahead of his range. After he pushes, you have to call. nh |

Re: How bad is this?
I can't put villain on a hand that you'd beat except for KQ. AA, KK, AK, QQ all have you beat. I will admit however that this is a tough spot, but I don't know if I'd honestly call the raise. Minraise on the river surely does not mean a bluff and I think you're beat here 95% of the time. Though it's hard to fold in this spot, it's only a min-raise (which is why they can be the most frustrating plays)

Re: How bad is this?
Yeah, well your opponent seems like a loon. Obviously his PF strategy freezes you (it would freeze me too) as does his post flop nasty play with his mini-bets, I don't mind the way you played it fearing you were behind on the flop.
I think this is okay, I've seen some villians play AJ or KQ like this. Definately make notes after you see his cards. |
