I've tried on some of my friends cars, I know for sure it's more fun , but i'm worried it starts to get annoying after a while, especially in traffic.

It's pretty second nature once you get used to it, I'd probably reconsider if I was spending over an hour each way in traffic though.

Well then rent one, try it on your traffic-choked commute, and see whether or not it makes you want to slit your wrists.

Actually, what i'm most afraid of is, after a few months, all the fun is gone and i'm left with all the negative stuff.

go with automatic, manual is too much work.
i'd rather use my other hand for other things like holding a double western bacon cheeseburger, for example.
