Interesting; thanks very much for clarifying. Sorry for jumping on your initial reply, I just thought you were lumping me in with the morons who get hopelessly stuck trying to "compete" with the big stacks.
Good to have a live player tell me his play in a corresponding situation, thanks for posting.

Results: I bet $30 on the flop, and got one caller. His reaction to the bricked turn demonstrated that he was weak (lol livetellboxaments) so I shoved and he mucked.
The more I think about it, it seems clear that the flop is an easy check.
