only about 1500.
I have 40K hands (out of 50K) at 1/2 since my downswing started. |

i dunno. my thought for big downswings and how to get out of them is usually twofold. First. Take at least two days off and make sure that everything in real life is in order, like eating well, having some fun, getting everything done, etc.
Next part is usually to make sure when playing again that with every slight decision that I have to make at the table, I take a reasonable amount of time to think about it while really focusing intensely on everything at the table. This usually helps. |

Thanks for all the advice guys. Gonna get a coach just to make sure I have not created leaks as a result of running bad. I'm taking on board a lot of things in this thread. Special thanks to Lori who did some real good pokerev analysis via PM for me. Think you hit bullseye Lori.

Seriously though, take a step back and reevaluate your game. Find big pots that you lost, see if there are any obvious concerns. You probably are playing a high variance style and maybe you're just running into the variance bug. Maybe others have caught onto you as others have said. I find that sometimes I convince myself that I'm playing well when I'm really not. Maybe have someone review some of your hands and see what they think. Best of luck |

Hmm... last time I spoke with smellmuth, he said he'd just bought an "iSTRONG voodoo doll" and had "Don't mess with Smellmuth" stitched on it..
