Default Re: Things it took me a while to learn part 10, Poker, variance, and life

Brilliant post as usual, Bond. Thankfully I have incorporated most of your advise already. My wife has forced me to go to the gym & cut down on my soda/caffeine consumption.

Unfortunately, steps 5 & 6 are still cost prohibitive at the moment. I still have a limited bankroll, which fluctuates between $75-$150. I am a losing player currently, but am losing less than I used to (improvement?) and am starting to cash in $1.20 SNGs consistantly now.

I agree that cash games are more difficult for me (maybe because I learned tourneys first, as HOH1-3 were my first books). Your words do not surprise me.

However, I am curious as to your timeline (bankroll-line?) for moving from 1-6. In particular, when withing your timeline were you comfortable committing the funds to 3 & 4, as far as winrate?

Again, thanks for the excellent advise.
