K6s in BB versus super tight raiser
Sorry, lame beginner question. I am sitting here with a bunch of players and we are arguing over a BB hand. A super tight player who raises UTG 6% of the time raises (6-handed). You have a very good read on the player and you trust the 6%. All fold to you in the BB. You have K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Do you call or fold?
I argued it was an easy fold. Another player argued it was an easy call and 2 players were not sure. 1) What is your minimum Kxs hand against a 6% raiser? 2) How often would a player have to raise to call with K6s? Thanks |

If he plays slightly better than very bad postflop this is a heckka fold.

vmcosta: that is too wide a range.
AA-JJ, AK, AQ, AJ and KQ (both suited and unsuted) is 6,6% of all starting hands. Even KJs is a fold here. |

Re: K6s in BB versus super tight raiser
Stox book says that you should have 35% equity to call raise in BB. Little less when your opponent plays poorly postflop and even more when he plays well postflop.

[/ QUOTE ] uh, dude, what are you talking about? [/ QUOTE ] Ah, sorry. I should have done the math first and red your post better. By dropping some of the offsuited cards you are getting rid of a lot of hands. Now that I have done the math I'm getting exactly 6% on your range. (Should I be getting 6,5%?) |
