Re: i am setting money on fire by betting this flop huh?
[ QUOTE ]
EDIT: i like betting more after seeing these guys are competent. I think their ranges are weighted towards PPs and SC's. Just lead and hope someone has 87s or A8s or decides to peel with 99. [/ QUOTE ] i'm just not sure i get more value out of 99 by betting then i do checking against most villains and i am probably going to get the money in anyways if anyone has an 8. I like what Sh said though about mixing it up in these spots, i bet too often when i have it here and not enough when i don't so i need to get those two things more in sync. |

i'd bet. since there's 3 other people in the pot, i just can't bring myself to assume that they're all at least slightly competent. what are the odds of that?

Re: i am setting money on fire by betting this flop huh?
Check isnt awful. Effective stack sizes dont have you deep enough that you need to bet flop get a good chunk of $ on turn/riv. Any 8 is going to be felting anyway, might as well let 2 people behind you stab. Also you look wicked strong by betting w/ 2 people left to act.
It's really a flow/image thing so saying always bet is def wrong. |

not a bad bet at all. never wrong to fast play your hands, lets say a 4,5,6,7 hit on the turn or river and he had one of those pocket pairs. then you just dug yourself into a nice lil hole. nah mean?

fine, i'd bet 88 here too. [/ QUOTE ] i agree with the bet......but to bet or not to bet really depends on your table image at the time, and the villains in the hand with you |
