Default $60 Live Tourney (Multi-Layered Decision)

I'm playing in a $60 Live tourney in Vegas. There were 28 entrants, tourney pays top 5.

There are 19 players left and I am 3rd on my table in chips and 5th overall. As always, the blinds move very fast (avg, every 7-10 hands). My M is 5 but I am an above average stack. The players at my table consist of one "big" stack with about $12K, one medium stack with about $6K and a bunch of small stacks with under $3K. I have $5K. The small stacks are playing very tight and have shown to not make correct decisions based on pot odds, fast blind structure, etc. The big stack seems content to sit out until the final table and let the small stacks beat each other.

The hand in question...

Blinds: $300/$600 (Going up in 3 min. to $500/$1000)

SB: ($2K)
BB: ($1.5K)
Vilain: ($6K)<font color="red">Raises to $1,800</font>
2: ($1.5K)Folds
3: ($3K) Folds
4: ($2K) Folds
5: ($2.5K) Folds
Hero: ($5K) <font color="red">Dealt T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]</font>
Button: ($12K)

Pot: <font color="blue"> $2.7K </font>
What would you do? Here is my thought process...

The vilain has not yet raised PF. He has limped twice and shown AA and QQ. I am pretty sure he is going to call if I push as the pot will be at $7.7K and he will have to call $3.2K. I am pretty confident that I am up against two high cards...my read was AQ. Do I move all-in or fold? The reason it gets tricky for me is that I know that I can fold, keep my $5K and continue to pick on the weaknesses of the other players at the table as opposed to taking a coin flip with one of only 2 players at my table that can knock me out?

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Go with your read and push on the +EV side of the flip.

Considering your read and the stack sizes, this sounds like it might be a good time for a stop n go. Shove or call a shove on low flops and give it up on akq flops.

i like a shove. sure, you can pick on the shorter stacks, but if one of them wakes up w/ a hand they can cripple you and put you up [censored]'s creek. take the +ev flip, scoop your pot, be the big stack, and then REALLY lay it on them! (then if they get lucky or something, you still have a worthwhile stack)

Thanks for the advice. I did shove and he did have AQ. He hit a wheel and I was out but I felt I made the right move. Thanks again!
