Ya'll hear that 5,000 people showed up at the Philly rally?

I don't buy it. I was there, and I was doubtful if it was even 1,000. I remember hearing that once they claimed they had 4,000 people, and then CNN or something reported it was more like 1,000. I don't know.

Looks like a lot more than 1,000 to me.

Yeah, that is easily a few thousand. 1,000 would be a block 30 people on a side. 4000 seems entirely reasonable given that crowd.

This has the potential to be awesome. A Ron Paul video contest that lets the winning video be shown during the Rep. CNN/You Tube debates on November 28th.

Crowds can be pretty deceptive. A crowd of 1000 is fairly small as tightly packed as that one is. It would only be a block 32 people on a side. That crowd is significantly larger than that.

A crowd of 4000 is only a block 63 people on a side. If you watch the video, the crowd looks over 30 people deep in every direction as the guy pans. That's about 3000 right there. Assuming people fill in the corners of a rectangular area, and you've got your ~4000.

Not that the exact numbers matter. I just think that 1000 is definitely a significant underestimate, by a factor of a few.

It's more like OCD. I've been estimating crowd sizes and counting floor tiles for years.

Hahaha. Your brain is like a border collie who doesn't get enough exercise and does laps around the coffee table. You were bred to think!
